The Alerta Sapphire 2 is an alternating pressure-relieving mattress system designed for users at high risk of developing pressure ulcers. It combines 5-inch air cells with a self-inflating 2-inch sealed foam base, giving an in-use height of 7 inches. The system is designed for use in hospital, nursing and care home environments and has simple settings to help care providers set the mattress to an appropriate pressure.
